The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common Welcomes New General Manager Tim Terceira

BOSTON, MA. August 4, 2015 - The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common is pleased to announce that Mr. Tim Terceira has accepted the position of General Manager for The AAA Five-Diamond Ritz-Carlton Hotel and The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common effective immediately.

Mr. Terceira, a leader in the hospitality industry for more than 26 years, brings a strong and diverse depth of experience to his new role in Boston. His interest in hotels and hospitality began when he was a teenager growing up in Bermuda and quickly developed into a career goal with a degree in hotel administration from Cornell University. Most recently, Terceira served as opening General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto and Residences. During Mr. Terceira's tenure in Toronto, the hotel achieved several awards including the AAA Five Diamond within six months of opening and Travel + Leisure magazine's Top 100 Hotels in the World and Best Hotel Spa in the World awards.

Prior to managing The Ritz-Carlton in Toronto, Terceira held the position of Vice President of Market Operations for Marriott Hotels and Resorts of Canada as the operations strategic business leader and worked closely with the Development team supporting growth from seven hotels to more than sixty across Canada.

Mr. Terceira has also been an active community member. In Toronto, he served on the Board of Directors of the local Business Improvement Area (BIA) and as a Corporate Advisor for the Children's Miracle Network. Born in Bermuda with dual citizenship in Canada, Terceira and his wife, Karen, look forward to calling Boston their new home.
