Hilton Waikoloa Village Announces Matthew Lane as Director of Front Office Operations

WAIKOLOA, HI. July 16, 2015 - Hilton Waikoloa Village, a Pacific playground located on Hawaii, the Big Island, proudly welcomes Matthew Lane as director of front office operations. Lane will concentrate on guest satisfaction and service standards while providing senior leadership to Hilton team members.

In his new role, Lane will oversee all front office operations including guest service initiatives, corporate marketing programs and financial profitability while monitoring and developing team member performance. Departments of responsibility include front desk, concierge, communications, valet parking, transportation, and luggage service encompassing more than 80 team members.

Joining the Hilton Waikoloa Village team from New York City, Lane most recently served as director of front office operations at Millennium Hilton Hotel. Improving the hotel's financial performance and guest services, Lane was named Executive of the Year in 2014. With over 5 years of experience in hotel management, Lane's career also includes various management roles at the famed Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York, where he achieved four promotions in three years while managing operations for more than 1,400 rooms.

Lane holds a business administration degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism management from the University of Denver. He is relocating to Hawaii Island from New York City and is looking forward to exploring all that Hawaii has to offer.
