SEATTLE, WA. - May 27, 2015. Noble House Hotels & Resorts and Barron Collier Company today announced they have completed a transaction to sell the legendary LaPlaya Beach Resort & Club in Naples, Florida for $185.5 million. LaPlaya Golf Club was affiliated with the resort in 2001, and is not part of the resort sale and will remain under the ownership and management of Halstatt and SJ Lockwood & Company. The companies completed the sale which closed as of May 21, 2015 with new owner, Pebblebrook Hotel Trust.

"As a long-term investment, we are thrilled with LaPlaya Beach Resort & Club's performance," Noble House Hotels & Resorts Owner, Founder and Chairman of the board Pat Colee said in a statement. "Naples continues to grow and be recognized as an international market for the luxury consumer. With the unique beachfront location, the resort has outperformed with guest satisfaction and superior financial results.
Resulting in this sale, we know there is continued growth for the market and the resort."

Known for their expansive expertise and financial performance in the lifestyle hotel space, Noble House was chosen by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust to retain the management contract. Beyond that, under Noble House's management, LaPlaya has been a perennial recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Conde Nast Traveler "Gold List" and Travel + Leisure "World's Best," and the LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort has enjoyed tremendous year over year membership growth.

"The acquisition of LaPlaya Beach Resort & Club, one of the most notable luxury beachfront resorts in Florida, perfectly aligns with our portfolio expansion and investment strategies," Jon Bortz, Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO of Pebblebrook Hotel Trust stated.

"Further, extending Noble House's management contract was an easy decision - the brand's service focused management style, knowledge of the Florida market, and long history with the property were some of the many reasons we've retained them."
