SAN JOSE, CA / and MCLEAN, VA - February 23, 2015 - Homewood Suites by Hilton, Hilton Worldwide's international brand of upscale, all-suite, extended-stay hotels, today announced that Homewood Suites by Hilton San Jose has completed the brand's new Take Flight design update. One of Homewood's first generation hotels, the 24-year-old property completed a three-month revitalization of its guest rooms and public spaces, including the Lodge, the Home Office - formerly the business center - and Suite Shop, among other key areas.

“The average extended-stay guest age demographic, while currently in their mid-40s, is getting younger every day,” said Bill Duncan, global head, Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton. “Based on trends like this and others we found in our recent study with Skift.com helped shape our Take Flight design program. We aim to keep the brand feeling fresh, offering an experience that meets all our guests' needs.”

Take Flight is a multi-faceted brand enhancement program developed for Homewood Suites' 25th anniversary in 2014. The program will continue to roll out to Homewood Suites across the country through 2018. Homewood Suites San Jose will be implementing various elements of the Take Flight design over the next several years.

The hotel is located in the heart of Silicon Valley at 10 West Trimble Road and offers 140 one- or two-bedroom suites. Hotel guests can enjoy the newly renovated public spaces, including the “connect zone,” the “dining zone,” the “lounge zone,” and outdoor kitchen space.. The hotel is also one of the first to implement Homewood Suites' new suite design standards, which include upholstered headboards, back-lit vanity mirrors, accent walls, ottoman with wrap-over table, and updated pendent lighting in the kitchen. .

“The Take Flight enhancements went smoothly and are in-tune with the thriving technology industry we are adjacent to,” said Luis Robles, general manager, Homewood Suites by Hilton San Jose. “The new contemporary designs and improvements that were made to the public spaces, amenities and services create a productive, yet inviting environment for our guests to make the most of their time away from home.”

Homewood Suites by Hilton provides travelers amenities and services that maximize their travel budget, including complimentary internet, daily full-hot breakfast and evening reception and drinks Monday through Thursday*. In addition, Homewood Suites' all-suite hotels boast fully equipped kitchens, separate sleeping and living spaces, a complimentary grocery shopping service** and fitness and recreational options to stay active - all amenities that enable travelers to feel at home and make life on the road more about life and less about the road.
