Loews Atlanta Hotel names Michael Kochie Director of Sales & Marketing

Industry veteran and former Atlanta resident to lead sales efforts at luxury hotel

ATLANTA - February 13, 2015 - Loews Atlanta Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Kochie to director of sales and marketing. With more than 20 years of hospitality experience, including six years in Atlanta, he will lead a team of 14 sales, marketing and social media professionals at the popular Midtown hotel.

Kochie joins the Loews Atlanta Hotel team from New Orleans, where he most recently served as complex director of sales and marketing, overseeing both the Le Meridien and W French Quarter. His extensive experience includes serving as area director of sales and marketing for Kimpton Hotels including Hotel Monaco, Morrison House and Lorien Hotel; various sales and marketing roles at Ritz Carlton hotels in Atlanta, Naples, San Francisco, Laguna Niguel and New Orleans; and sales manager roles at Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta and
Summit Hotel in Dallas.

Raised in southern California, Michael attended University of Delaware where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a minor in business. In addition to his work at the hotel, Kochie is active in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and currently sponsors a child in Washington D.C. Kochie resides in the Midtown neighborhood in Atlanta.
