Austin CVB Announces New Hires and Promotions

AUSTIN, Texas. February 2, 2015. The Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) is pleased to announce and welcome Lance Aldridge as the new Executive Director of the Austin Sports Commission. Aldridge brings extensive sales and marketing experience which includes Director of Sales and Marketing for the PGA Tour, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Super Bowl XXXVII."

“Since the Sports Commission's creation a decade ago, greater Austin has seen tremendous growth in the area of sporting events,” said Steve Genovesi Senior VP of Sales. “Aldridge's two decades of sports industry experience and extensive network of contacts will help us continue to establish us as a premier sports destination.”

Stephanie Washington was added to the ACVB team as the new Partner Relations Specialist. She brings several years of experience with the University of Texas at Austin and UT Systems, as well as 3 years of experience as the Director of Marketing with the National Black MBA Association-Austin Chapter.

ACVB is also proud to announce the promotion of Amy Brown to Director of Sales; Courtney Sculley to Account Director, Northeast and International Markets; and Kelly Thomas is the new Account Manager for the Midwest and West Coast markets.
