Gemstone Hotels & Resorts to Manage L.A.'s Historic 295-key Mayfair Hotel
PARK CITY, Utah - January 19, 2015 - Gemstone Hotels & Resorts, a full-service hotel management company that specializes in owning and operating luxury and upscale urban hotels and resorts, today announced it has assumed management of The Mayfair Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on behalf of Los Angeles-based ICO Group of Companies, known for its development of unique historic properties in Downtown Los Angeles.
The 1920s-era hotel was the site of the first Academy Awards after- party in 1929 and has been featured in the television show, "Weeds," and the feature film, "True Lies."
