Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort Adds Two Members to Executive Sales Team

Paula Carlson and Fernando Nuñez Join New-Build Resort as Senior Sales Manager and Group Sales Manager, Respectively

Hollywood, FL - January 7, 2015 - Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, opening in summer 2015 on the legendary Hollywood Beach Broadwalk in Greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida, today announced two additions to its executive sales team. Effective immediately, Paula Carlson will serve as senior sales manager and Fernando Nuñez will fill the group sales manager role.

With 25 years of Hospitality sales management experience, Paula Carlson joins the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort team as senior sales manager. Most recently, Carlson served as national sales manager for the 408-room Turnberry Isle Miami, where she managed the Midwest, Canadian, corporate and incentive markets. Previously, Carlson spent eleven years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, including serving as senior sales manager for St. Regis Bal Harbour & W Fort Lauderdale during both resort's pre- and post-opening periods. An active player in the hospitality industry, Carlson serves on the board of directors for the Florida Caribbean SITE Chapter.

Fernando Nuñez joins Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort as group sales manager. Nuñez, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, most recently served as sales manager for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Miami Beach, FL, where he managed development and growth of the small groups market in Florida and the Northeast, as well as the sports and entertainment groups segments. In 2013, Nuñez exceeded his total revenue goal by 103.4% and received the Five Star Leader of the Quarter Nominee by The Ritz-Carlton, Miami Beach. An active member in the local community, Nuñez is involved with The Miami Dolphins Foundation and Dolphins Cycling Challenge.
