LAGUNA BEACH, CA - October 22, 2014 - Alan J. Fuerstman, Founder and CEO of Montage Hotels & Resorts has announced three new executive-level appointments to bolster the sales & marketing teams at two resort properties and revenue management across much of the portfolio.

Kurt Diekhoff, Director of Sales & Marketing, Montage Deer Valley

A seven-year associate of Montage Hotels & Resorts, Kurt Diekhoff now leads all sales and marketing efforts of Montage Deer Valley in Park City, Utah. As director of sales & marketing, Diekhoff crafts innovative strategies to increase revenues to the resort, with special focus on all-important group and events clientele. Diekhoff was part of the pre-opening team at Montage's first property, Montage Laguna Beach, where he became national sales manager handling the Midwest and national insurance and incentive markets. Previously, he was Sales Manager for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Midwest regional sales manager for The Westin St. John Resort and Villas in the Virgin Islands. He launched his career as sales manager at the Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa in Hawaii. Diekhoff is actively involved in the industry, counting affiliations with The Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE), Financial & Insurance Conference Planners (FICP), and Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

James Palank, Director of Sales & Marketing, Montage Kapalua Bay

With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Jim Palank is now leading the charge as director of sales & marketing of Montage Hotels & Resorts' newest property, Montage Kapalua Bay in Maui, Hawaii. Palank has history with the island, as he was previously director of sales & marketing for The Westin Maui Resort and Spa and The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas, both located within The Ka'anapali Resort. He was also previously director of sales & marketing at The Royal Hawaiian Hotel and was honored as 2013 "Starwood Sales Leader of the Year" within the North America Division. Earlier in his career Palank spent four years as regional director of leisure sales with the Trump Hotel Collection and also served as vice president of sales & marketing with The Trump International Hotel and Tower Las Vegas. In his leisure time, Palank enjoys spending time on Maui with his wife Verge, doing activities including surfing, stand-up paddle boarding and sailing.

Walter Blake, Area Director Revenue Management

Having been an asset to the Montage Hotels & Resorts team at Montage Kapalua Bay since the company first became associated with the resort, Walter Blake has now been appointed area director of revenue management for Montage Hotels & Resorts. Blake will be responsible for the critical Revenue Management function of Montage Kapalua Bay, Montage Laguna Beach and Montage Beverly Hills.
