Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel Names Alexis Martinez as Chef de Cuisine
Denver - October 15, 2014 - Alexis Martinez has been named as Chef de Cuisine at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. He leads the culinary team for the hotel's 15|Fifty Restaurant and 16 Mix Cocktail Lounge. Martinez brings over 15 years of food and beverage experience in the hospitality industry.
“Alexis is a talented and accomplished new member of our team,” said Executive Chef Scott Skomal. “His passion, dedication and leadership experience will help us to better achieve exceptional culinary service for all of our guests.”
Martinez previously served as Executive Chef at La Paloma Country Club in Tucson, Arizona and for Loews Denver Hotel. Martinez is skilled in all culinary operations including overseeing budgets, staffing, guest satisfaction as well as product management. Martinez also has extensive experience with teaching and training culinary team members.
In 2012, Martinez took first place in the “Best Chefs of the West” competition in Denver and was nominated for the “Best Chefs in America” publication.
