STAMFORD, CT - September 12, 2014 - Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT) today announced that its world-renowned Westin brand has opened its third hotel in Arlington, Virginia. The Westin Crystal City offers 220 luxurious guest rooms and extensive meeting facilities in a convenient location, just one mile from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Owned and managed by HEI Hotels & Resorts, the former Sheraton hotel underwent a $20 million renovation to reposition it as a Westin and implement the brand's signature services and amenities designed to inspire wellbeing.

Additional facilities include a WestinWORKOUT® studio and a 24-hour business center.

"We are thrilled to reposition this ideally located hotel as a Westin and expect to attract both business and leisure travelers with the brand's distinctive wellness positioning and innovative brand-led programming," said Anthony Rutledge, Chief Executive Officer, HEI Hotels & Resorts.
