Detroit's Royal Park Hotel Celebrates 10 Years of Hospitality

DETROIT - September 15, 2014) - Rochester-based Royal Park Hotel, a Worldhotels affiliate, opened its doors for the first time in September 2004 with an unforgettable grand opening that included a butterfly release, marching band, live mermaid seafood display and innovative culinary presentations. Now, a decade later, the hotel celebrates 10 years of hospitality with a special event planned at the hotel for Sept. 15, 2014.

The luxury hotel has created many memorable moments during the past decade including: the debut of the iconic Gingerbread House, a visit from President George W. Bush and an impromptu performance by Sir Paul McCartney in Elliott's Lounge.

Royal Park Hotel has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards over the years, receiving the AAA Four Diamond Award for eight consecutive years since 2006. The hotel also received the 2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award - an award honoring worldwide hospitality excellence, only given to properties that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor.

In August 2013, the award-winning hotel joined Worldhotels, a global hotelier brand that provides access to approximately 500 independent luxury and upscale hotels in 65 countries. Royal Park Hotel was listed as one of Worldhotels' highest-rated properties earlier this year.
