New Spa Director and Catering Sales Manager Join the Resort Team

Tucson, AZ - August 15, 2014 - Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa has announced Jeffrey Schott as its new spa director at the Sonoran Spa. Along with this new hire, Westward Look has additionally named 3-year associate Christopher McLaren as the new catering sales manager.

Jeffrey Schott comes to Westward Look from the rePose Salon and Spa Cityscape in downtown Phoenix. Working as rePose's spa director, Schott began his career with WTS International, which manages both rePose and the Sonoran Spa. Before rePose, Schott also served as spa director at Jurlique Spa at FireSky Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz., from March 2008 to August 2013. Schott has worked in spas since graduating from Arizona State University in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in exercise and wellness. From 2002 to 2008, he worked in various spa and fitness positions at Revive Spa at JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix and Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Ariz.

As the spa director of Westward Look's Sonoran Spa, Schott oversees all spa operations, including staff management, creating and modifying spa services, overseeing performance protocols, and finance, among other duties. In his new position, Schott will work to revamp existing services, bringing in new treatments and offering a variety of seasonal services.

Christopher McLaren began working at Westward Look in July 2011 as a front desk agent. Since his employment at Westward Look, he has cross-trained in many departments within the resort, including food and beverage, concierge services, accounting, and sales. Because of his work at Westward Look, he was nominated by his colleagues for the 2014 Stars of the Industry Award hosted by the American Hotel and Lodging Association. In 2013, McLaren also earned his bachelor's degree in hospitality management from Northern Arizona University.

McLaren oversees all social events booked at Westward Look in his new role as catering sales manager. He will be active in the community, promoting the resort as a premier location for weddings, birthday and holiday parties, baby showers, quinceañeras, bar or mat mitzvahs and more.
