NORTH ANDOVER, MA - August 11, 2014 - Boston East India Hotels LLC, a global hotel investment, development and management company headquartered in Massachusetts, today announced the acquisition of Stonehedge Inn & Spa. Located thirty miles north of Boston, this iconic Four Diamond hotel situated on ten acres of New England woodlands on the banks of the Merrimack River has thirty guest rooms, a DiRoNA award winning restaurant and full service spa. Frequented by celebrities and dignitaries, the Stonehedge Inn & Spa is renowned for having the largest wine cellar in New England and the second largest wine cellar in North America.

Boston East India Hotels will re-brand Stonehedge Inn & Spa as part of its Troca Hotels collection of global curated lifestyle hotels. The hotel has built up a strong reputation as a destination for wine lovers, business travelers and guests in search of a romantic getaway in the classic setting of an upscale European country house. As part of its rebranding, the rooms will be refreshed to update the color schemes, linens, window treatments and an emphasis on discreet but progressive technology. All public areas will be updated, including the development of additional meeting and banquet space. The renovations will include a significant redesign of the bar, lounge and restaurant. New programming will make the signature restaurant more accessible to a new generation of discerning clientele. Properties within the Troca Hotels collection place an emphasis on curated lifestyle amenities and features and signature restaurants and bars with live entertainment.

Levent Bozkurt, the proprietor of the Stonehedge Inn & Spa, whose prize winning wine list and cellar have become legendary, will join the board of Boston East India Hotels and continue to advise the property on its wine offerings.

Built in 1988, Stonehedge Inn & Spa is based on the design of an upscale European country house. The three-story structure's thirty guest rooms include seventeen rooms with balconies, two with large screened porches, seven with gas fireplaces and all with four-fixture bathrooms, as well as several with Jacuzzi tubs. The restaurant seats 180, with a fire side lounge and bar capacity of 30. The total indoor meeting and function capacity is over 300, including three dedicated meeting spaces. The property includes large outdoor spaces for weddings and other large functions. The Spa offers a four season pool with a retractable glass roof, Jacuzzi, tennis court, steam room, sauna and four treatment rooms.

Stonehedge Inn & Spa is located in in Tyngsboro, MA, on the banks of the Merrimack River and alongside a state forest in Middlesex County, near the intersection of Routes 3, I-495 and I-93, major arterial highways in the region. The hotel is located in close proximity to two major airports: 35 miles to Boston's Logan International Airport and 22 miles from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.
