Downtown Grand Las Vegas Announces Four New Hires

July 31, 2014 - Downtown Grand Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is announcing the hire of four new members of management: Chief Financial Officer, Marie Ramsey; Casino Financial Analyst, Jeffrey Rabinowitz; Director of Table Games, Ken Mumby and Director of Casino Marketing, Anthony Bender.

Marie Ramsey brings more than 30 years of experience. She is a well-respected casino veteran within the industry with a background including all aspects of finance and accounting including cash management, forecasting and budgeting, capital expenditures, financial analysis and finance system conversions. Prior to joining Downtown Grand, she was the chief financial officer for Tropicana Las Vegas. Before that, she served as vice president of finance for MGM Grand Hotel & Casino and held senior financial roles at New York New York Hotel & Casino and Station Casinos. She is a certified public accountant and received her Bachelor of Science in business administration from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Working closely with Ramsey will be Jeffrey Rabinowitz. He will be supporting Ramsey and leading the evolution of Downtown Grand's MY POINTS program. Ramsey is formerly of Maryland Live! Casino. He received his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from University of Maryland, College Park.

On the casino side will be two new faces. Ken Mumby brings 35 years of experience in the gaming industry and prides himself on overachieving guest expectations and ensuring compliance with gaming regulations and Nevada Revised Statutes. Before joining Downtown Grand's team, he was the vice president of casino operations for Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, overseeing the gaming floor during the property's transition from the Aladdin. In addition, he has worked in numerous properties including The Venetian-Palazzo Resort & Casino, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and Green Valley Ranch. He is already familiar with Downtown Las Vegas' culture as he spent the early part of his career at Binion's Horseshoe Casino. Mumby received his Associate Degree from Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Mo.,

Anthony Bender will also be working with the casino team. In his new role, he will oversee all marketing associated with the casino which will include promotions, giveaways and advertising. He has 23 years of casino marketing and advertising experience and spent 10 years with acclaimed agencies Western International Media and Grey Advertising. Bender has also held management roles at Riviera Hotel & Casino, Play LV Gaming and American Casino & Entertainment Properties. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration La Salle University in Mandeville, La.
