Crystal Petersson Named GM of Cypress Inn, Carmel-by-the-Sea's Iconic 1929 Historic Landmark

CARMEL BY-THE-SEA, CA - July 29, 2014 - Cypress Inn announced the appointment of Crystal Petersson as General Manager of the iconic 1920 historic landmark, effective July 15, 2014. Petersson will be responsible for all aspects of daily operations and leadership management of the 44-guestroom property co-owned by legendary Hollywood actor and animal rights enthusiast Doris Day. Petersson joins Cypress Inn from Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa where she served as sales manager for the Western U.S. A long-time resident of Carmel Valley, Petersson also held multiple positions at Pebble Beach Resorts from 2004 to 2013 including sales manager, catering/conference services manager and risk and insurance administrator.

A resident of Seaside, Calif., Petersson resides with her husband, three small children and dachshund, Cooper. She has held board posts at the Monterey County Young Professionals Group (2009-10) and was Vice President for Bay View Academy Community Volunteer Organization (2011-12). She enjoys camping, travel, food, wine and Monterey County's rich line up of natural assets in her spare time.

HOLLYWOOD BY-THE-SEA

From the ornate enrance to the clubby Terry's Lounge and fidos in fedoras, everything about the Cypress Inn speaks to the Golden Age of Hollywood.
