Laguna Beach, CA - July 22, 2014 - Rachel Tejeda has been appointed general manager of The Laguna Cliffs Inn , the latest addition to Classic Hotels & Resorts' Coastal California Collection. The boutique hotel, located in the heart of Laguna Beach, is slated for a multi-million dollar renovation set for completion in early 2015. Ms. Tejeda will lead the iconic hotel's relaunch, bringing her strong hospitality background, years of luxury hotel experience and a proven track record to The Laguna Cliffs Inn.

With more than ten years of hospitality experience, Ms. Tejeda has held diverse positions at some of the most prestigious hotel groups, including several posts at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park. Most recently, she served as the assistant general manager at The Inn at Laguna Beach, a nearby sister property also owned and operated by Classic Hotels & Resorts. She held that position and has been part of the luxury hotel group for the past three years.

“It is an honor to be joining The Laguna Cliffs Inn team, and I look forward to introducing a new, personalized hotel experience to first-time and returning guests,” said Ms. Tejeda. “Laguna Beach is one of California's most celebrated beach towns, and we are excited to bring the best of this great community to our guests for years to come.”

As general manager of The Laguna Cliffs Inn, Ms. Tejeda will be responsible for directing the relaunch of the 36-room hotel and introducing an elevated level of service to the property. Guests of The Laguna Cliffs Inn will enjoy all the comforts of home with panoramic views of the ocean and mountains falling in the backdrop. The hotel is a short walk from Main Beach and also offers guests easy access to the surf and sand with an in-house Beach Concierge and exclusive paddleboard lessons/rentals packages.

“Following the busy summer season, we will begin a gradual rollout of the multi-million dollar refresh of the property,” said Classic Hotels & Resorts Senior Vice President John Grossman. “In addition to public space and guest room updates, we are enhancing all of the hotel's amenities to create a one-of-a-kind experience that is unique to both Laguna and the lifestyles of our individual guests.”
