Phuket, Thailand - July 7, 2014 - Paresa Resort, the hideaway-style luxury resort in Phuket, Thailand, is proud to announce the appointment of Dawid Koegelenberg as General Manager. An established leader in the hospitality industry, Koegelenberg brings more than 18 years of luxury hotel and restaurant experience to Paresa.

Originally from South Africa, Koegelenberg graduated from The Cape Town Hotel School before setting off to Switzerland, Germany and France and later, London, where he spent 14 years working at the Michelin-star level, first as a chef and later as general manager of some of London's renowned restaurants. In 2010, Koegelenberg relocated to Thailand for the role of Resort Manager at the award-winning Sarojin Resort in Khaolak. Prior to joining the team at Paresa Resort, Koegelenberg held the position of Resort Manager at the iconic Six Senses Koh Samui.

Koegelenberg holds a prestigious qualification in Viticulture from Brighton University, is a certified Sommelier, and also lectured at the London Wine Academy for over six years. Under Koegelenberg's leadership, Paresa will unveil "Bespoke Moments," a number of new and exciting initiatives and programming unique to the resort. Koegelenberg's hands-on operational approach, charismatic personality and expertise in the management of luxury resorts and culinary concepts make him an ideal fit for the role of General Manager at Paresa Resort.
