CARBONDALE, CO - June 24, 2014 - Timbers Resorts, developer and operator of a gracious collection of private boutique resorts, hotels and residence clubs, has announced that The Sebastian - Vail hotel will embark on a renovation of its guest rooms for an enhanced experience that reflects the changing interests of its luxury traveler. The re-conceptualized in-room experience will include a complete redesign of all guest rooms, a new category of one-and-two bedroom executive suites and a series of smart in-room amenities. A member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts and a Travel + Leisure “500 World's Best Hotels” award winner in 2014, The Sebastian - Vail's room renovation will lead to a new configuration of 84 guest rooms that will be completed on December 13, 2014 (12-13-14).

The Sebastian - Vail is a boutique property brimming with character and infused with a strong sense of place that breaks the mold of the traditional aesthetics in Vail. The property is an eclectic confluence of playful sophistication and high-mountain comfort with a cozy, residential atmosphere filled with views of the Rocky Mountains and the entire valley. The updated room design is energetic and elegant, and draws inspiration from the hotel's popular contemporary art-filled public spaces further emphasizing the property's distinct mountain-chic spirit, which helped establish the hotel as a top destination within Vail and Beaver Creek.

Design touches include the incorporation of luxurious materials in cool tones of icy blue and sparkling silvers, abstract patterns of snowflakes found in the carpet and accent pillows, refinement reflected in the polished chrome nail heads found in each leather headboard and calming linen lamp shades cascading light throughout the room. The rooms evoke a home-away-from-home feel and boast new built-in shelving units with a selection of leisure books and travel-themed treasures, multiple easy-to-find outlets at eyelevel, an iPod Home system and flat screen televisions. Interiors were conceptualized and designed by the Timbers Resorts Design & Interiors team led by Sandy Burden in collaboration with Wilson Associates of Dallas, Texas.

Recognized for the extensive collection of modern art and contemporary interior details throughout the public spaces on-property, the in-room experience will reflect The Sebastian - Vail's passion for art with an exclusive series of prints designed by the prominent abstract Mexican artist Manuel Felguerez Barra who was part of the Generación de la Ruptura, a new generation of artists who broke from the muralist movement in the mid-20th century.

The new room configuration offers guests a range of luxury accommodations for all types of travelers. Within the 84 new guest rooms are 16 Executive One-Bedroom Suites, eight of which may be configured into Two-Bedroom Suites to accommodate the luxury traveler seeking additional space with extra conveniences. All 16 Executive Suites boast separate parlor rooms with private bathrooms and a pullout sofa. Seven residential suites with full kitchens and fireplaces are also offered for nightly rental. For those looking for a more permanent stay, ownership at Residences at The Sebastian - Vail are available with four planned vacation weeks plus unlimited space availability starting at $395,000, including membership in the Timbers Collection, which provides the ability to trade and travel throughout the entire Timbers Resorts portfolio around the world.

In the winter season, Deluxe Plaza Rooms will start at $395, Executive Suites will start at $795 and Residential Suites will start at $1,000.
