PETERSBURG, FL - April 14, 2014 - Renaissance Hotels, a brand of Marriott International, Inc., is proud to announce the appointment of Barbara Lippert Readey as the new general manager of The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Cub, as of March 15, 2014. Readey's duties as general manager include overseeing hotel and club operations, management of staff, budgeting, project management and ensuring elite guest interaction.

With an outstanding track record of success and credibility, including 28 years of industry experience, 15 different management positions with Marriott in ten cities and eleven hotels while also having served seven years at Marriott International Headquarters, Readey joins The Vinoy most recently from Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, where she served as the general manager and successfully debuted their restaurant, Catch Grill & Bar. During her time at Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, Readey achieved the highest General Manager Leadership score in North America and received national award acclaims for her Best in Class Associate Engagement scores. A personal and professional mission, Readey strives to make a difference in the lives of others. Rather than attempting to juggle work and life priorities, she believes in a successful union of priorities to balance her role as mother, wife and business professional.
