. April 09, 2014

SAN DIEGO, CA - April 9, 2014 - Harrah's Resort Southern California today announces the highlight of its $160 million multi-phase renovation and expansion - the debut of its highly anticipated 403-room hotel tower, making the resort an outstanding 1.2 million square foot all-season gaming resort.

Harrah's Resort is ideally located in Southern California just 30 minutes from wine country, 50 minutes from downtown San Diego and two hours from Los Angeles. Harrah's SoCal offers guests an all-encompassing gaming resort experience in a spectacular setting with an array of amenities including a trifecta of pools, an award-winning spa, brand new dining offerings and a state-of-the-art entertainment and conference center, among other amenities.

The addition of the 21-story Resort Tower North joins two existing towers and brings Harrah's Resort to a total of 1,065 rooms, making it the fourth largest hotel property in the county. The new tower boasts 48 expansive suites with views of the valley, bringing the resort's suites inventory to 147. Overall, the resort features 891 non-smoking guest rooms and suites and more than 10,703 square feet of non-smoking gaming space.

"The grand opening of the new tower is a very proud moment for the entire team," said Harrah's Resort Southern California Regional President and General Manager Janet Beronio. "The past several months have been full of strategizing, designing and launching our all-new resort experience. We have aimed to not only provide a product that today's traveler expects, but one that they desire."

"The Rincon Band is excited for the next era of the property," stated Bo Mazzetti, chairman of the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians. "The resort has been a namesake in our community and is something we are very passionate about. The recent renovations and expansion to the property truly make this a destination resort."

The expansion at Harrah's Resort, formerly Harrah's Rincon Casino & Resort, broke ground in October 2012 with the first phase unveiled in July 2013 - the Baja-inspired 'ritas Cantina and Dive, a trifecta of pools complete with SoCal's only swim-up bar and a 400-ft Lazy River. Dive is also home to the region's popular Dive Day Club. The second phase of the renovation debuted in December 2013 with the opening of The Events Center, a 53,221 square foot state-of-the-art convention and entertainment venue. Harrah's Resort also recently welcomed Starbucks and a wine and craft beer bar, Corked, which has a 15,260-square -foot patio for event pre-parties and live music.

Following the new tower's launch is the April opening of Spiked, an all-new craft cocktail ultra-lounge. Also opening this month are grab-and-go food options at Earl of Sandwich and the return of the legendary Pink's Hot Dogs.

The resort expansion and additions join current existing amenities such as The Spa at Harrah's, a 59,000-square-foot casino and various dining outlets catering to all cravings including The Buffet, Oyster Bar, Fortunes and The Cafe. The property's signature fine-dining restaurant, Fiore, is a seven-time winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and offers guests a wide variety of selections from a seasonally rotating menu. Guests can pair their choices with a selection from a wine list containing up to 120 wines.

The expansion and rebrand of Harrah's Resort Southern California culminates the creation of the full resort experience. From spa to gaming, fine dining to delicious grab-and-go options and a full array of entertainment at Dive, The Events Center or at a lounge, locals and SoCal sun seekers alike will have everything an ideal resort destination experience entails right at their fingertips.
