Palm Springs, CA Hyatt Regency Suites Rebrands to Hyatt Palm Springs

. March 31, 2014

PALM SPRINGS, CA - March 31, 2014 - Formerly known as Hyatt Regency Suites, today the hotel announced the completion of its rebranding to Hyatt Palm Springs. Hyatt Palm Springs joins the growing number of Hyatt hotels operating under the Hyatt brand throughout the world.

The rebranding heralds a series of improvements, the enhancement of local expertise and newly customizable amenities and experiences. David York, General Manager, states, "We are excited about the property's conversion from a Hyatt Regency to a Hyatt hotel as it allows us to do what we do best: provide local knowledge, connection to the pulse of the community and personalized itineraries in a locale where our guests can easily get to their destination on foot, by bike or shuttle."

The only all-suite hotel in the area, Hyatt Palm Springs sits at the crossroads of one of the most memorable vacation destinations in Southern California - downtown Palm Springs. Changes include a refreshening of public areas, including the pool area with new splashes of color, additional fire-pits and unique heat lamps to heighten the contemporary lounge-like atmosphere. Improvements to the porte cochere include new decorative heating and lighting at the front entrance and the addition of a mural by local artist Dean Mayo. Restaurant changes include adding a Bruno pizza oven, fire-pits and other design elements to the popular outdoor Hoodoo Lounge. Plus, a new retro cocktail menu will debut, befitting the hotel's - and area's penchant for - mid-century architecture and design.

Hotel associates, many of whom are Palm Springs natives or have lived and worked in the area for years, possess local insider knowledge to share with guests who are looking for everything from the best taco in town to the most family-friendly entertainment.

Additionally, Hyatt Palm Springs' personalized approach is amplified by its eConcierge service, allowing each guest to customize their experience prior to, or after their arrival. Do it all or do nothing at all - through Hyatt Palm Springs' exclusive relationships with area attractions, recreational facilities, golf courses, restaurants, spas and specialty retailers, guests can create handcrafted vacation experiences and itineraries with the click of a mouse or the swipe of a screen.

Says York, "Our easily accessible and walkable location, spacious suites and customizable itineraries make the perfect combination for a stellar experience in the Coachella Valley."
