The Alpina Gstaad Voted Top Luxury Hotel in GALA Spa Awards 2014
GSTAAD, Switzerland - March 26, 2014 - At the GALA Spa Awards 2014 in Baden Baden last week, The Alpina Gstaad won top prized in the "luxury hotel" category. The best international spas and care concepts were honored in a glittering ceremony on March 16 hosted by GALA, an upscale lifestyle magazine and Brenners Part Hotel & Spa and attended by TV stars, celebrities and well-known leaders in the cosmetics and hospitality industries.
Since its opening in December 2012, The Alpina Gstaad has become known as a spa and wellness destination. Its 21,500 square-foot Six Senses Spa features 12 treatment rooms, a fitness center, an 82-foot lap pool and a relaxation area. Two of the care product lines - QMS and ilā - which are used at the Spa were also honored for "treatment concepts" and "natural cosmetics" respectively.
The nine judges included: Dr. Heinz Kroehl, Chairman of the European Spa Academy; Dr. med Martina Kerscher, a professor of cosmetic science; Frank Marrenbach, Managing Director of Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa and Christian Krug, GALA Editor-in-Chief.

The Alpina Gstaad is set on five acres in Oberbort, the exclusive hilltop area of the village which is in Saanenland in the heart of the Bernese Alps.
