As Area General Manager, Justin will oversee the Group's expanding China portfolio which currently comprises four “Pan Pacific” hotels and serviced suites - Pan Pacific Ningbo, Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Ningbo, Pan Pacific Xiamen and Pan Pacific Suzhou. In addition, the Group has three hotels in Tianjin, Zhuhai and Chengdu within its pipeline.

Based at Pan Pacific Suzhou, Justin will also be in charge of the daily operations and overall performance of the 481-room hotel as its General Manager. Located in historic downtown Suzhou, Pan Pacific Suzhou features stunning traditional Jiangsu architecture infused with a contemporary style that delivers the distinctive refreshing Pacific experience.

A native Chinese, Justin has more than 20 years of local industry knowledge and professional experience. He spent four years with Westin Shanghai at the start of his hospitality career, before joining Hilton Hotels & Resorts. Over the next 12 years, Justin worked his way up the management ladder to undertake directorships in operations and business development at Hilton properties across China - in Beijing, Shanghai and Sanya.

As General Manager of Doubletree Beijing, the first Doubletree hotel in Asia by Hilton, Justin successfully led the hotel from its pre-opening stages to achieve commendable revenue performance during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He later moved on to manage two more Doubletree hotels in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, where he was instrumental in grooming senior employees as part of succession planning.

Prior to joining Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Justin held a senior management position at an international hospital in Shanghai, where he oversaw multiple functions ranging from Finance, Human Resources, Operations and Sales & Marketing. He has a bachelor's degree from Harbin Institution of Technology and an MBA from East China University.

“Justin has built up strong operations and management credentials in China's burgeoning and competitive hotel industry,” says Bernold O. Schroeder, Chief Executive Officer, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

“Having prioritised China as one of the most important growth markets for the Group, we warmly welcome Justin on board as our first home-grown Chinese General Manager. We are confident that the valuable local insights he brings to the management of our “Pan Pacific” and PARKROYAL properties across the country will serve to deepen our engagement with both the highly discerning Chinese and international traveller.”

Later this year, Pan Pacific Hotels Group is set to strengthen its presence in China with the opening of the 319-room Pan Pacific Hotel and Serviced Suites Tianjin, its fifth “Pan Pacific” property in the country. The Group is also on track to launch Pan Pacific Zhuhai and debut the PARKROYAL brand in China with PARKROYAL Chengdu in 2017.
