New Events & Meetings Spaces at Andaz Wall Street

Renovation Now Complete on Concourse Level Damaged by Superstorm Sandy

. August 22, 2013

NEW YORK - August 22, 2013 - Andaz Wall Street, the first Andaz property in Manhattan and the only hotel on Wall Street has recently debuted its new Concourse Level. This space encompasses event facilities, meeting rooms, and a full-service fitness center. After incurring damages from Superstorm Sandy in 2012, the Concourse Level was closed for over seven months. During this period, Andaz Wall Street analyzed booking trends and guest feedback in order to renovate and reimagine the space, offering the most cutting-edge technology, a stylish setting and the signature Andaz hospitality experience.

"We are grateful to have our Concourse Level fully operation again," commented General Manager Jeffrey Miller. "The hotel remained open throughout the renovation, and continues to welcome guests to New York City's restored downtown. "Not every hotel gets the opportunity to remodel its facilities just three years after opening," added Miller. "In our first few years of opening, we had been receiving requests to host larger, social events such as weddings and galas. We are excited to welcome more social business moving forward."

The remodeled Concourse Level at Andaz Wall Street is 7,000 square feet, up from 4,000 square feet pre-renovation. It can host events for up to 450 people in one space, whereas it had previously only been able to accommodate 75. All spaces are entirely web-based and wireless, with LED lighting throughout.

The Concourse Level's 4700-square-foot Gallery can be subdivided into four smaller spaces, and is joined by a newly remodeled open kitchen for pre-function and breakaway gatherings. Three new event spaces, Stock, Bond, and Exchange, span 740 to 1900 square feet and are equipped with LCD televisions, open pantries with personal espresso machines, and state of the art audio-visual equipment.

The fitness center on the Concourse Level has been renovated as well, using innovative green technology. It now has hybrid treadmills from Life Fitness, wireless controls and LED lighting for increased energy efficiency. Guests can also enjoy spa treatments at The Spa which was renovated as well.

Andaz Wall Street opened in 2010 and has 253, loft-like rooms designed by David Rockwell as well a seasonal outdoor terrace featuring the hotel's popular Biergarten, Bar Seven Five and Wall & Water restaurant.
