ResortCom International Appoints Daniel Ortiz CFO

SAN DIEGO, CA – June 9, 2011 – ResortCom International , which provides resort management, rental, reservations, travel services and financial services to the vacation ownership, fractional and luxury resort industry, has announced Daniel Ortiz as chief financial officer.

With nearly 20 years of experience in building top-tier finance teams and establishing key financial systems, Ortiz joins the ResortCom team to oversee finance and accounting, including for Tapestry Resorts, a full-service hospitality solutions company, and LaTour Hotels and Resorts , which offers personalized luxury hospitality management services for four- and five-star properties worldwide.

Ortiz will be directly responsible for financial operations for the company’s services and technological division and will be involved in ResortCom’s strategic planning, projects and business development efforts. Adept at implementing efficient financial reports, budgeting and forecasting processes and ERP systems, Ortiz is known for his ability to streamline operations and mitigate risk.

“Daniel has a depth of industry knowledge through his previous experiences with firms ranging from private equity-backed start-ups to Fortune 500 companies,” said ResortCom International Chairman John Small. “We look forward to having him on our team and contributing to the growth of our company.”

Most recently Ortiz acted as interim CFO and vice president, controller for DLC’s client companies. While at DLC, a provider of senior financial management consulting services, Ortiz assisted notable companies, such as Westfield America, Sony Pictures International Home Video, Technicolor, Countrywide Bank and GameTech International.

A certified public accountant, Ortiz began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. His vast experience also includes working with firms in the United States, Latin America and Europe. Ortiz has served as Sizzler Restaurants’ assistant corporate controller and held senior positions with American Express and ABB.

Ortiz holds a Master of Business Administration specializing in international business from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Arizona State University. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
