March 21, 2011 - The hotel's stand-alone restaurant, yet to be named, will include direct street access and offer a Pan-Asian style menu. The main restaurant will highlight British cuisine with a seasonal menu sourced from local suppliers. The Terrace at the front of the hotel offers a more casual dining option ideal for an al fresco experience and pre and post event entertaining.

"There is already a high standard and choice of places to eat in Guildford and we know that we have to offer something really outstanding to be successful in this location," commented Radisson Edwardian Director of Marketing Linda Plant. "We've drawn on all of our experience throughout the group to provide a wide range of different eating experiences and expect that we will not just have "something for every taste" but that we will have restaurants and bars that people will want to come to enjoy on a regular basis."

With its elegant and stylish design, street access and a vibrant atmosphere, the bar will serve specialty cocktails focusing on innovative twists of classics and the menu will include sharing plates based on Asian dishes such as spiced tempura, salt chilli squid, crispy pork belly along with a wide sushi choice.

The Radisson Edwardian Guildford will also include a spa which will house a swimming pool, state of the art gym, five treatment rooms, relaxation area, sauna, steam room and mud spa.

Conference and meetings rooms will cater to events for 10 to 400 guests. All meetings rooms will have the latest presentation technology supported by in-house expertise to ensure that every event runs seamlessly.

The Radisson Edwardian brand currently has 13 hotels in some of the most sought after tourist destinations in London and Manchester. Set to become a significant destination within the thriving metropolis of Guildford, the Radisson Edwardian's newest addition was a £60m (approx. $97million) development on the site of the historic White Horse Hotel and is a collaboration between Marcol, the Nicolas James Group and the Radisson Edwardian Hotel Group.

Guildford, one of the most expensive places to live in the UK outside of London, is home to a number of major businesses including Colgate-Palmolive, Vodafone and Mitsubishi.

"This will be another jewel in the Radisson Edwardian crown and an important addition to the development of Guildford," Linda said. With thirteen hotels to our name so far we have taken some of the best elements from our portfolio to deliver stylish, comfortable, enjoyable spaces and experiences. We believe that the hotel will be as popular with the local community as it will be with visitors to the city."
