MCLEAN, VA - November 4, 2010 - Embassy Suites Hotels is proud to announce the opening of the brand's newest location, the Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk - Downtown. The hotel, which sits on the historic Riverwalk in central San Antonio, incorporates the brand's signature water feature, yet with a twist. The water cascades over multiple waterfalls before flowing into the San Antonio River passing under the romantic Paseo del Rio. The new property will include award-winning chef and television personality John Besh's Franco German-inspired brasserie, Lüke, the chef's first venture outside of the New Orleans area.

The 285-suite hotel is located directly on the Riverwalk at 125 East Houston Street. It is operated by Dimension Development of Natchitoches, La., the recipient of numerous development awards from Hilton Worldwide, including “2010 Conversion of the Year” for The Roosevelt New Orleans, part of the Waldorf Astoria Collection. The Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk - Downtown is owned by Blanco Rio, LTD, which is a collaboration by IBC BancShares, Sam Friedman, president and CEO of Dimension Development and Jack Guenther, a San Antonio native.

The Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk - Downtown is the third Embassy Suites in the San Antonio area and the 22nd in Texas. The property features a panoramic, multi-story lobby oasis with direct views of the stunning Riverwalk area. This full-service, all-suite property features 11,589sq.-ft. of meeting space equipped to accommodate 900 guests indoors, while outdoor terraces offer an elegant option for a one-of-a-kind event experience.

One-bedroom suites feature either one king bed or two queens, with a full-size sofa sleeper in the living room, while 11 two-bedroom suites offer a king bed in one room and two queen beds in the second bedroom.
