Metropolitan Hotels Signs to Open Hilton Garden Inn

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, June 2, 2009 - Hilton Garden Inn, one of the fastest growing brands within the Hilton Family of Hotels, is pleased to announce the development of the 170-unit newly constructed Hilton Garden Inn Panama in Panama City, Panama, representing the brand's commitment to growing its collection of more than 450 Hilton Garden Inn locations across North America, Europe and Central America.

The Hilton Garden Inn Panama is owned by Metropolitan Hotels SA under a license agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation.

A unique, high-rise design, the 17-story hotel will be ideally situated at the corner of Calle Eusebio A. Morales and Calle Enrique Grenzier. Plans call for the hotel to be located in the banking and commercial district of Panama City, and the hub of hotel activity, in the vicinity of V'ia Espa~na commercial sector.

The Hilton Garden Inn Panama is scheduled to feature 163 spacious guestrooms and seven suites offering the Garden Sleep System(R) bed; ergonomic Mirra(R) chair by Herman Miller; complimentary wired and Wi-Fi high speed internet access; high definition flat screen television; and an alarm clock with MP3 connectivity. The hotel also plans to feature a complimentary 24-hour business center; a comfortable lounge area; and a total of 160 square meters of flexible meeting space -- ideal for business meetings, social events and wedding receptions.

For dining options, the hotel is slated to feature the Great American Grill(R) restaurant offering freshly prepared breakfast and dinner; evening room service and the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry(R) convenience mart with a selection of refrigerated, frozen and microwaveable packaged items, and sundries.

Planned recreational facilities at the hotel will include an outdoor rooftop heated whirlpool; complimentary fitness center featuring Precor(R) cardio and strength equipment; and Stay Fit Kits(R) that can be checked out from the hotel front desk and enable guests to do yoga, Pilates and core workouts in the privacy of their guestroom or in the workout facility.

The Hilton Garden Inn Panama expects to participate in Hilton HHonors(R), the only guest rewards program that offers Points & Miles(R) and No Blackout Dates on rewards stays. Members of the Hilton HHonors guest reward program can Double Dip(R) to earn both points and miles for every stay at more than 3,300 Hilton Family hotels worldwide. And with No Blackout Dates or capacity controls, as long as a standard room is available for purchase, members can redeem HHonors points for the stay.
