Dylan Hotel Appoints New Director, Sales and Marketing

NEW YORK, NY, December 7, 2006. In his more than 20-year career in the hotel and hospitality businesses, David Chu has held executive positions with an impressive array of leading international hotel groups including Hilton, InterContinental, RIHGA Royal International, ANA Hotels International, Renaissance Hotels and Resorts, and Accor International.

With his new role at dylan, David will lead all aspects of marketing, sales, public relations, revenue and promotional activities in addition to setting new financial goals and charting new courses for continued growth at the dylan.

Prior to joining the dylan, David worked for the San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in launching Kimpton's debut in New York City. He was recruited from InterContinental-The Barclay New York to open 70 park avenue hotel. David has exceptional insight into the sales, service and operating departments and has earned a reputation for being comprehensive, resourceful and unrelenting in his efforts to lead hotels through challenging times and ever changing markets.

Among his accomplishments, David has held board status for HSMAI, SIG (New York chapter). He graduated with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management and is an alumna of Hilton Leadership Academy.

David is a native New Yorker and resident for 45 years with a passion for serving people.
