AUSTIN, TX, November 7, 2006. Wayport, Inc., an international leader in the design and integration of applications and software over wired and wireless carrier grade networks, announced today the addition of two new executive leaders: Richard Barnes, vice president and general manager of retail and Bob Pojman, vice president of operations.

The expansion of Wayport's leadership demonstrates the company's commitment to collaborating with innovative organizations to attract and retain loyal customers by creating new business capabilities and improving operational efficiencies. Building on more than ten years of experience in designing, developing and deploying software and applications over carrier grade networks, Wayport has outlined a long term vertical market strategy that encompasses retail, healthcare, hospitality, managed services and others. Each vertical business segment will operate under the leadership of a general manager overseeing dedicated sales and support teams specifically focused on the unique needs and requirements of innovative organizations within the defined markets. Wayport's individual business segments are backed by a world class corporate operations team.

Richard Barnes will lead the retail business segment, serving top brands like McDonald's, Hertz and others, enabling software and applications like Wi-Fi public access; e-learning; security cameras; cashless and debit card payments; gaming; DVD rental stations; dial-back-up; remote order taking and many others. Barnes comes to Wayport from Oracle, where he led the western U.S. commercial region in services sales, business development and product implementation as group vice president. He offers Wayport world-class experience with market strategy, project execution and aggressive revenue realization. Barnes' achievements in revenue growth and sales management span more than 15 years at Oracle, Peoplesoft, Netegrity, Inc. and Computer Task Group.

Bob Pojman steps into the role of vice president of operations for Wayport. Formerly the senior vice president of network and strategic technology at Open Solutions, Inc., Bob Pojman will manage all of Wayport's business operations, including logistics planning and provisioning, enterprise deployment, 24/7/365 in-house customer care center, Network Operations Center (NOC) and repair and maintenance teams. He brings extensive experience in process management and information technology to Wayport, along with proven success in business development and managed services. Prior to his service at Open Solutions, Pojman was vice president of operations at NetSolve, Inc., implementing successful operations, staffing and financial models contributing to revenue growth and strong gross margins from operations.

Kevin McKeand, who has been with Wayport since 2004, moves from operations to the healthcare business segment as vice president and general manager. Targeting doctor's offices, hospitals and medical centers, McKeand's team will focus on the healthcare market's need for services like public Wi-Fi access, electronic health record management, clinical applications, VoIP, RFID/RFLS and inventory management.

"We are very excited that Richard and Bob have joined the executive team at Wayport and bring their experience and thought leadership to our organization," said Dave Vucina, CEO for Wayport.
