Marshall Management Opens Two Manhattan Properties

Company's Second and Third Managed Properties in New York

. November 10, 2008

NEW YORK, NY, November 10, 2008. Marshall Management, Inc., a leading, mid-sized hotel management company, today announced that it has opened the 150-room Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan SoHo and 160-room Hampton Inn Manhattan SoHo, marking the company's second and third managed hotels in New York City. Marshall also is providing pre-opening services for two additional Manhattan properties currently under development and scheduled to open in 2009 and will operate the properties upon opening.

The four properties are part of an agreement with The Lam Group, a leading hotel and real estate development firm owned by John Lam, and Lam Generation, a recently formed hotel development and ownership company operated by Jeffrey Lam. Under the terms of the agreement, announced in August 2007, Marshall will provide services to accelerate the Lams' planned development in New York City. The first of the four Lam hotels to be managed by Marshall is the Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Chelsea.

"The Four Points Manhattan SoHo and Hampton Inn Manhattan SoHo showcase Marshall's strengths in one of New York City's hippest neighborhoods," said Michael Marshall, president and CEO of Marshall Management, Inc. "We have found a strong demand for mid-market, moderately sized, value-priced properties in the Manhattan market, and the Lam projects are perfectly suited to tap into this market. We have achieved robust occupancies at both properties since they opened."

The Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan SoHo is located at 66 Charlton Street between Varick and Hudson Streets, on the edge of Greenwich Village and within walking distance of New York's trendiest cafes, restaurants and clubs. The floor-to-ceiling windows in each suite room offer stunning views of the city and the Hudson River. All rooms are outfitted with 42-inch plasma televisions, the Four Points by Sheraton Four Comfort Bed and free high-speed Internet.

The property also offers a full-service restaurant and lounge and seasonal al fresco dining and cocktails on the sidewalk patio. Guests can also choose from among a wide selection of beers, courtesy of the Four Points by Sheraton Best Brews(R) program. Additional amenities include a unique Family Room business center and state-of-the-art workout facility.

Hampton Inn Manhattan SoHo

Located at 54 Watts Street, in the same area as the Four Points, the Hampton Inn Manhattan SoHo is within walking distance of art galleries, upscale restaurants, contemporary museums and intimate cafes. Specifically, the hotel is near the Leo Castelli and Pace Wildenstein galleries, the Guggenheim SoHo, the winding streets of Greenwich Village and the amazing eateries of Little Italy and Chinatown. In addition, the hotel has all the amenities one expects at Hampton Inn, including a fitness center, business center and complimentary breakfast.

"The Four Points Manhattan SoHo and Hampton Inn Manhattan SoHo offer all the usual hotel amenities, but their truly New York, urban-chic style makes them standout in the brands," added Marshall. "We plan on highlighting the properties' unique interior design in the heart of one of New York's most exciting areas to attract both leisure and business guests."
