Sheraton Lansing to Become Lexington Lansing Grand Hotel

OCTOBER 29, 2008. The Lexington Collection of fine Hotels, Plaza Hotels, and Resorts worldwide announced today that the current Sheraton Lansing Hotel is set to become the Lexington Lansing Grand Hotel on June 30, 2009.

"This is going to be a terrific change," said hotel general manager Cindy L. Bowen. "There will be more upgrades and improvements made to the property as we join this upscale brand. The new Lexington Collection brand gives us the flexibility to provide amenities that are special and unique to our guests."

Located in the heart of Michigan's capital city and close to Michigan State University, the Lansing hotel opened in 1982 and features 212-guest rooms. The hotel currently employs 170 people. No staff changes will be made as a result of the conversion.
