Mr. Joshua Miller
Joshua Miller is Principal and Managing Director of Niche Advisor’s San Diego office (For more information, see www.nicheadvisors.com). Prior to launching Niche Advisors, Mr. Miller was the Director of Asset Management for HVS Parking Consulting. While at HVS, Mr. Miller completed over 80 assignments for hotels and resorts of all brands, service levels, and market segments. Mr. Miller specialized in feasibility and investment analysis, real estate development planning, contract negotiation, procurement, technology implementation, training, and other project and asset management services for hotel parking clients designed to improve financial performance and service levels.
Mr. Miller developed his hotel operational acumen across various departments from the Mirage Casino Resort in Las Vegas, as well as for Hyatt Hotels and Destination Hotels and Resorts in San Diego. In his last role in hotel operations, Mr. Miller was the Rooms Executive for the Hotel del Coronado. He led hotel wide initiatives to develop and train hotel service culture models, improve staff retention, implement revenue management principles and technology, build community relations throughout a project’s development entitlement process, negotiate union contracts with UNITE HERE, as well as all other operational aspects within the rooms division discipline. Mr. Miller is a certified trainer through Shane Green Enterprises and earned a B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
