Whether it's a five-star resort or a two-star hotel, customers rate location as the number one deciding factor when booking a hotel.  Obviously room size and décor, attractiveness of common areas and available amenities are critical in that evaluation, but the exterior appearance of the grounds, everything from flowers to plantings to trees, is also important to your hotel’s image.

Read more about this in my article "11 Questions You Must Ask Your Landscaping Firm" in this week's Hotel Business Review.

If you are considering bidding your landscaping business, you may want to review the specific issues we found valuable in assessing potential firms.

Please feel free to share your comments as I welcome your feedback.

While the supply of spas has been on a steady rise for many years, the growth has slowed and this is probably good because there are some challenges that need to be addressed... The supply has out-paced the demand, the labor pool from management to service providers is quite limited, and there isn’t enough reliable economic information. These may be “symptoms” that need further examination in order to address any “health” issues that could impinge on the well-being of our industry...

The Weight of the Wait... Time is Money!

By Roberta Nedry, President, Hospitality Excellence, Inc.
