Brian Herbert has years of experience working in both the public and private sector and is a recognized authority on law enforcement and security-related issues. Over the years, his work has helped prevent corporate crime and to help bring criminals to justice.

Currently, Mr. Herbert serves as the Director of Corporate Investigations for Phenix Investigations, a recognized, national leader in investigations. In this role, Mr. Herbert directs the firm's resources to help clients deal with a wide range of complex issues. Phenix provides investigative and consulting services to companies large and small. Mr. Herbert helps lead investigative efforts to deal with fraud, theft, substance abuse, workplace accidents, non-compete issues, asset recovery, security assessments, and other employee-related issues. Mr. Herbert has managed cases to include an asset recovery case for a Fortune 500 company totaling over $450 million, a major corporation's security assessment to include a complete overhaul of the current system in place, and has helped exposure a fraudulent kickback scheme perpetrated by an executive working for a large, national tool company with annual revenues in excess of $125 million.

Born in Fairfield, California, and raised in a military family, Mr. Herbert received two bachelor's degrees from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. Following graduation, he worked for a number of years as a law enforcement officer for a mid-sized, metropolitan police department. Mr. Herbert is currently pursuing his Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati. In addition to his academic education, Mr. Herbert has attained certifications including Hazardous Materials Operations, Certified Firefighter II, NICB Auto Theft Training, and is currently preparing to take the exam to obtain his designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
